Australian Aerospace limited has been formed by the merger of Eurocopter International Pacific (100% subsidiary of Eurocopter) and Australian Aerospace Pty Ltd (100% subsidiary of EADS).
After the merge, Australian Aerospace limited is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Eurocopter. Eurocopter International Pacific New Zealand remains as a 100% subsidiary of Australian Aerospace limited.
Eurocopter was born in 1992 from the merger between the helicopter divisions of Aerospatiale-Matra (France) and DaimlerChrysler Aerospace (Germany). By a process of successive integrations, Eurocopter has become Europe's leading fully integrated aeronautical group. Eurocopter group is now a subsidiary owned 100% by EADS (European Aeronautic, Defense and Space Company).
EADS came into being on 10 July 2000, when it emerged from the link-up of the German DaimlerChrysler Aerospace AG, the French Aerospatiale Matra and CASA of Spain. EADS European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company is the largest aerospace company in Europe and the second largest worldwide. EADS is active in the fields of civil and military aircraft, space, defence systems and services.
